CHRISTMAS
Christmas 2023 House Tour: Part 1
Oh deer! Looks like Christmas season is here. One of the most anticipated seasons that I look forward to providing for you all. This year, I wanted to still continue the new tradition of writing blog post due to how busy my life has gotten recently.
When I graduated college, I thought I would have a good duration where I wouldn't have a job yet therefore my time to fully dedicate myself as a content creator becomes more frequent. I guess this just shows that life has way of changing things up for you in the future. Always expect the unexpected.
Anyways, lets talk Christmas shall we?
For the first part of this blog, I wanted to dedicate it to my bedroom since I wanted to do a different approach to my room compared to the rest of my home. For those who've been tagging along with me on Instagram, you may already know that my theme for my bedroom this year was inspired by a classic Norman Rockwell Christmas. Therefore, a lot of red, some whites, and some green.
When I was shopping for Christmas stuff in target after Halloween, I wasn't sure what theme I was going to do for my bedroom this year. It was until I stumbled upon this Christmas picture frame that clicked the moment I saw it.
Having sky blue painted walls, choosing a Christmas theme that could coexist with it can be a little tricky. When I saw this frame, I knew I had to venture into this theme for Christmas. Seeing touches of blue, red, and green intertwining with each other honestly made me easily decide what I wanted to do for Christmas.
Therefore to start of with my room tour, lets change things up and start at the dresser instead!

I think we need to address the major change in this area, and that is the new frame. This frame that I got from Targe was kinda the start of what led me to do a Norman Rockwell Christmas. The writing on the frame, the color scheme, the art design. It just gave me classic to be honest.

Along side the frame, there is something new the I added to this dresser. If you look closely at the Christmas tree, there a three things now hanging on it. That's right, when I went to Target, I stumbled upon these gnomes that looked soo cute! Not only that, but the color scheme that they had going on went perfectly well with my room. Therefore, I had to get it.

The last Christmas addition that I have for my room is below the the tree. When I went to Target last month, I saw this frosted Christmas figurine that I loved for it's simplistic look. Because of that, I decided it was a must for my room. Alongside with that, I saw this red plush deer that looked soo cute! It helped balance out the green and red on my dresser.

Now lets move over to my bed as the bed is also the big impression to my room. For the first time this year, I was able to use both my Christmas pillows as they complimented each other for the theme.

One thing that I was truly happy about was finally going back to white bedsheets for the Holidays. Don't get me wrong, I loved my earth tone brown sheets, but I felt like it was nice to make the place feel bright again. I truly missed it! On my headboard, I decided to place my garland on there again since I loved it last time. But the only new thing I did was added some red berries on it to give it a little bit of red to bring the theme throughout the room.

Above my headboard, I added a pop of red/green ribbons that made it feel like Christmas, without doing too much. Sometimes, it's the little things that can do a lot for you space.

Going over to the right side of my bed now, I have this faux floral arrangement that I've done to bring Christmas to this nightstand. I've had these Christmas bells in my drawer for some time now, but didn't know how I was going to use until this year. I knew the color scheme was perfect for it. I mixied it in with the preexisting floral arrangement I had and came out with this final touch!

Next up, it another iconic corner of my room. The bulletin board! This year there are some minor changes that I did to the bulletin board. I swapped out one of the cards to include this snowman that brought the classic Christmas theme together. With that, I also made a ribbon bow that had its long strand go behind the bulletin board to give it a vintage wrap vibe, if that makes any sense?

Alright now, we have one more stop and that is the wall where my T.V. is attached. This year, I decided to have have my garland still on top of my T.V., but also include a ribbon that has the color scheme, obviously because of FLOW! Next to it on the right side, is my 'Joy' wreath. In years past, I always had a sage green ribbon on the top of the wreath. This year, I decided to to swap out the ribbon with the same color as what has been going on around my room.

Thank you guys for joining me in this first part of the Christmas tour. The second part is something you can't miss. TRUST ME! I love the outcome of how downstairs came to be. Until then, I will see you all later. Happy Holidays!
