CHRISTMAS
Christmas 2023 House Tour: Part 2
Part two is officially here, and I can't wait to reveal to you what I've done for this year's Christmas tree. I've thought about this theme since the end of 2022, and I am soo happy of what I've done for the final product.
Behold the jewel tone Christmas tree! *Cues Bejeweled by Taylor Swift* This Chritmas tree a little special this year, because one, it's our first tree that has been this tall, 9.5' to be exact. And also, this is a faux Christmas tree!

I honestly love how it turned out with the many color this theme has. I feel like it pay a little homage to little me when my mom would ask me to help her hang up the Christmas balls/ornaments up on a Friday evening after I was done with school.

For the colors for this year's Christmas, it was a whole lot of: burgundy, blue, purple, gold, green, and pink!

I was able to go through a lot of vintage ornaments that my mom has been collecting since 1999 and let me just say, that was a whole memory lane that I went through.
One thing that I loved about the color scheme this year was how liberating it felt to go a little wild with all the color that I had and brought this year.

In years past I always had to constrict myself to what the color scheme was, which is usually only two or three, but here, we have a total of six colors!
Something new that I did this year that I've never done in years past is customizing my tree topper. In the past, I've always just placed an angel on top, and called it final once that was placed. This year, I kind of wanted to get a little creative....
I found this Santa that had the green and burgundy color scheme that I needed for this year's Christmas. I knew I wanted that to be the attention at the top of the tree. So what I did was move a few branches out of the way to create a sitting spot for it. Along with that, I bought a few gold picks from Michaels that I placed behind him or underneath him to create a little bit of attention, and fill in those awkward spaces around him.

Moving over to the starway now.... Lets talk about what I did for the staircase!

One thing that I realized when doing this staircase was, how am I going to continue my color scheme theme to that area? To me, I thought it was kind of tricky. One thing that I realized when doing my staircase area was realizing how many ornaments I am going to use this year. I ended up using all of my jewel tone ornaments that I bought/had currently at home.

The one thing as you can see with the staircase garland was how I used the same ribbon to wind around the garland. I felt by using the same ribbon, it helped tie both the garland and the tree together.

Another thing that I also included for my garland this year was another flocked garland that intertwines with the green one. The reason why I did this was due to the fact I wanted to jewel tone colors from the ornaments to stand out even more, and make a statment on my staircase.

Lets not forget, the bows that I added on my "mini moments" of my garland.
Now the last thing that I wanted to talk about is my "big moment" of my staircase. I really love how this Little Susie, that's what I named it ha ha ha, makes the impression of the start of the staircase.

With her, I included a small small bow behind her so there wasn't any competition between the two, along with a Merry Christmas sign. I felt like this all tied together soo well.

Thank you all again, for sticking around with me for this holiday. It was been a year with graduating and finding a job. But now, another year goes by and I can't wait for what 2024 has in stock for me. Until then, I will see you soon!
